It is our great pleasure to announce that Joint International Workshop of WFF&WFSO (The 2nd Workshop on New Frontiers in Ferroelectrics 2013 & The 2nd Workshop on Functional and Smart Oxides 2013)
will be held in Hokkaido University on 4-8 March 2013. The 1st IWFF was held in Hidaka, Hokkaido on 21-23 February 2012
for 100th anniversary of Ferroelectricity. The term ferroelectric or ferroelectricity was coined by professor Erwin
Rudolf Josef Alexander Schrodinger as early as 1912. The workshop brings together scientists interested in the
fundamental and applied physics of ferroelectricity and related materials. Topics include new ferroelectric materials,
piezoelectrics, domain effects, relaxor ferroelectrics, low dimensional ferroelectrics, photoinduced ferroelectrics and
multiferroic materials.
