Dynamical structure of materials is studied experimentally.
Broadband dielectric spectroscopy makes it possible to follow
molecular motion in the freqency range from 1 microHz to 40 GHz.
Several weapons have been developed for this use in our laboratory.

Research of fundamentals between microscopic atomic arrangement and
macroscopic properties in dielectrics and its related novel materials. Stru
ctural phase transitions and critical phenomena are studied by means of
low-temperature X-ray diffraction, ac calorimetry and dielectric
measurements. Special interests are paid recently for new structural
phase transitions in semiconductor ZnO:Li system and ferroelectrics with
electron-phonon coupling.
