Research Theme

Research of hydrogen-bonding liquid by terahertz time-domain spectroscopy

Research of electron lattice interaction by coherent phonon

Research of carrier dynamics in semiconductor

Research Activities

In our laboratory, we study photo-excited state of material, its relaxation process and optical nonlinear phenomena associated with them. Using special laser equipments, we perform femtosecond pump-probe spectroscopy, Raman scattering, and terahertz spectroscopy and so on. Typical samples are semiconductors, liquids and low dimensional spin system, and low temperature and high pressure conditions are applied if necessary. From these measurements, the basic physical properties of the photo-excited states of these materials will be clarified.
