Experimental study on strongly correlated electrons system using nuclear magnetic resonance spectroscopy.

Research Activities

Our interest is in the diverse properties of electrons in solid. The functional properties such as electric and thermal power transportation by electrons and magnetization generated by electronic spins and orbitals are now indispensable for our high-technology life. These functional properties are frequently generated by the many body effects of dense electrons.

 To unveil the origin of the electronic properties, we perform nuclear magnetic resonance (NMR) spectroscopy, which utilizes nuclear spins sitting near the electrons as the probe to observe electronic states. Magnetic resonance imaging (MRI), a medical application of NMR phenomena, demonstrates the ability of this technique.
