NMR study on Metal-insulator transition in Oxysulfides (La1-xCaxO)Cu1-xNixS

Abstruct

We have investigated electronic states of (La1-xCaxO)Cu1-xNixS using 63Cu and 139La nuclear magnetic resonance (NMR). The relaxation process of 63Cu is confirmed to be quadrupole process for x=0, while the magnetic process dominates in x=0.1 at low temperature (T). 63Cu spin-lattice relaxation time T1 in x=0.1 at low T roughly follows the Korringa-like relation of T1T〜50 (sK), suggesting that the system is in a metallic state.
